Why Vortello Exists
When you work out and ride bikes, you need different jerseys.
Vortello began with a simple frustration: as someone who lifts and rides, I could never find cycling jerseys that truly fit.
Standard jerseys were built around a thin, narrow body type — too tight across the chest, shoulders, back, and arms. But sizing up meant a loose waist and excess length. The fit problem was obvious, yet nobody seemed to be addressing it.
Vortello was created to offer a better answer: cycling apparel designed for stronger, more athletic builds.
THE FIRST STEP
Designing the solution.
Rather than waiting for another brand to solve the problem, I started exploring it myself.
The first prototype began at home — not as a finished product, but as a way to understand what the right fit should actually feel like on an athletic rider’s body.
That early hands-on process helped turn a vague frustration into something tangible: the beginning of a jersey designed around different proportions.
REFINING THE FIT
From prototype to production-ready jersey.
The idea did not stop with the first sample.
Realising how much more comfortable the first prototype already was, the fit was refined through ongoing development with the manufacturer — adjusting proportions, testing fabrics, and working toward a jersey that was specifically designed around riders with stronger, more athletic proportions.
The goal wasn't simply to make a bigger jersey. It was to create one that felt intentionally made for the proportions of riders like us.
